1. Get moving. Return to your regular workout schedule as soon as possible. Go to the gym, hit your favorite exercise class or go for a run outdoors like you normally would. If possible, increase the duration of your workout or go for an extra walk at the beginning or end of your day, in addition to your normal workout. Stay committed to your routine through the holiday season no matter how busy you are. This is especially important if you are doing Lipo-Light body sculpting treatments, as you need to burn off the excess calories to maximize your results.
2. Return to your normal meal plan. While many are tempted to skip meals to try and compensate for overeating on Thanksgiving, this is a recipe for disaster. When you skip meals, it slows your metabolism as your body tries to conserve energy and even stores fat. Instead strive for a fiber-rich diet with lots of lean protein, and whatever you do, don’t skip breakfast. Returning to your normal diet will go a long way in balancing out the damage you did at the holiday feast.
3. Drink water. Drink lots of water to help flush the toxins from your system, fill you up and keep your digestive system functioning properly. Add a slice of lemon for flavor and to boost your metabolism, and drink some green tea as well.
